About this race
The EcoTrail Wicklow 30K starts and finishes on Bray's seafront promenade, in Co. Wicklow, following the same opening climb up Bray Head as the other distances in the series. The route continues through the Belmont Estate and out past both the Little and Great Sugarloaf mountains, two limestone peaks carved by the ancient sea, looping around them after the aid station near the 14km mark. From there the course returns to Bray Head via Belmont Estate, with a water station at the 24km point, before a final descent to the seafront finish with views over Dublin Bay. Most of the route is on hard-packed and rocky trail, with brief sections of quiet road, positioning the 30K as the middle-distance option between the shorter 19K and the longer mountain routes.
