About this race
Santa Dash Dublin 5km takes place on a single lap of a flat, chip-timed course inside St Anne's Park in Clontarf, on Dublin's northside coast. The route stays entirely within the park, on paved paths rather than roads, making it accessible to runners, joggers, walkers, buggies and scooters alike. With no significant hills, the flat parkland setting suits both first-timers looking to complete their first festive fun run and faster runners hoping to be crowned the "fastest Santa." Every participant wears a full Santa suit for the event, and finishers pass back through the event village near the start, where a grotto visit with Santa and a present awaits children. Set among the mature trees and open lawns of one of Dublin's largest parks, the course captures the festive spirit of the event as thousands of Santas make their way around the park together each December.
