About this race
Run the Line 26km, the long course of this Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team fundraiser, starts and finishes at Glencullen Adventure Park in the Dublin Mountains. The route takes runners deeper into the hills than the shorter 13km option, on a genuine mix of terrain that includes forest paths, technical single track, fire roads and exposed open mountainside. There is significant sustained climbing throughout, tougher and more remote than the short course, with the reward being some of the best views over Dublin city and the surrounding countryside from the high points. The going underfoot changes constantly, from firm forest tracks to rougher, wetter hill paths, so proper trail or fell shoes are recommended. The course is well marked and marshalled, with wave starts used to spread the field. It is one of the biggest mountain races in Ireland and a proper test for experienced trail and hill runners.
