About this race
The Run Run Rudolph Half Marathon is a Christmas fundraiser run by Kilcullen GAA in aid of the club's Field of Dreams development, starting and finishing at Kilcullen GAA Clubhouse in Co. Kildare. Introduced alongside the established 5K and 10K events, the route is run largely out on the open Curragh plains and is described by organisers as tough and fairly hilly, making it a more demanding option than the shorter distances on offer that day. The course is run entirely on tarmac roads. As a running-only event, it heads off first, to the sound of Chuck Berry's 'Run Rudolph Run', ahead of the 10K and 5K starts. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, and the event finishes with Christmas treats and a prize-giving back at the clubhouse.
