About this race
The Lusk Half Marathon is organised by Lusk Athletic Club and takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 in Lusk, north County Dublin. The course runs on the roads in and around Lusk village and the surrounding north Dublin countryside, on a chip-timed, AAI-permitted route. The course is on tarmac roads throughout, reflecting the quiet rural character of the north Dublin coastal hinterland. A 20 Mile and 10k are also offered on the same day, with all three distances popular as Dublin Marathon build-up races given the timing of the event three weeks before the city marathon. Lusk Athletic Club is one of the largest athletics clubs in Dublin, and the event attracts a strong field of club runners and recreational athletes from across Leinster each year.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
