About this race

The EcoTrail Wicklow 19K starts and finishes on Bray's seafront promenade, in Co. Wicklow. From the promenade, the route climbs Bray Head, the coastal hill overlooking the Irish Sea, before entering the historic Kilruddery Estate. From there the course runs up and around the Little Sugarloaf, a limestone peak shaped by the ancient sea that once covered the area, before returning to Bray Head via the Belmont Estate, where a water station awaits around the 11km mark. The final stretch descends back towards the seafront, with views over Dublin Bay before the finish. The route runs almost entirely on hard-packed trail, with three short rocky sections and only two brief stretches of road as the course crosses between Bray Head and the Little Sugarloaf, making it a scenic but accessible introduction to the longer EcoTrail Wicklow distances.
