About this race

The Polish Independence Run is a 10km road race held entirely within St Anne's Park in Raheny, on Dublin's northside, organised by the Polish Runners Club Ireland to mark Poland's Independence Day. The course is described by organisers as fast and flat, following the park's paths and roadways through its extensive green space, with the same route used year on year. Runners of all abilities are welcome, from competitive club athletes to families and newcomers taking part for the atmosphere and community spirit. The event is well marked and safe throughout, run entirely within the enclosed park rather than on public roads. Every entrant receives a bespoke commemorative finisher's medal, with an optional Polish-themed event t-shirt available to purchase in advance. After crossing the line, runners are treated to traditional Polish food and freshly baked treats, making it as much a cultural celebration as a competitive race.
