About this race
The Kilcullen AFC 10K starts and finishes at the club's soccer pitch, beside the Astroturf pitches in Kilcullen, County Kildare. The course runs on the public roads surrounding the town and shares much of its route with the shorter 5K, giving a fast, straightforward layout for the longer distance. Registration takes place at the pitch before the race sets off, with refreshments served afterwards at the nearby Parish Centre. As a genuine community fundraiser for Kilcullen AFC, a local soccer club founded in 1968, the event supports the club's ongoing facilities and development. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers across both distances, with the day designed to bring together competitive runners and casual participants alike, drawing entrants from Kilcullen and the wider County Kildare running community.
