About this race

The Raheny 5 Mile is a road race around St Anne's Park in Raheny, Dublin, run entirely on paved roads and park paths. From the start on the northern side of the park, the course heads west along the northern edge towards Sybil Hill Road, then turns south along it before cutting east along the southern side of the park. It then continues to the shore of Dublin Bay and follows the coast road north-east to the Causeway Road junction, before turning back past the park's playing fields to finish near the start. Race HQ is at Scoil Áine. The profile is gently rolling, with a gradual rise to a high point in the first half, a long descent to a flat stretch beside the bay, and a steady climb back towards the finish. Mile markers are placed along the route.
