About this race
The Paddy Joe Curran Memorial Turkey Trot 5 mile run starts and finishes at the Marine Bar in Pulla, on the N25 just outside Dungarvan in County Waterford. The route map shows a loop on country roads through the wooded countryside around Pulla, on surfaces that are mostly paved. The profile is rolling, with an early dip followed by a long, steady climb through the middle of the course, a high point around the three-mile mark, and then a gradual descent back towards the finish. The event was set up in 2007 in memory of Paddy Joe Curran, and a 4-mile walk is held alongside the run. Race numbers are collected at the Marine Bar before the start, and prize giving and refreshments follow there after the finish, with prizes for the first three men and women.
