The Run Clare Sixmilebridge 5k starts and finishes in Sixmilebridge town, heading out towards the Ard Ratha area before dropping onto quiet country roads for the main body of the course. From there the route climbs gently for the first kilometre or so before turning and descending steadily towards a low point near the Gullet, a river valley on the edge of town, reached around the three-kilometre mark.
