About this race
The Clane GAA 5K Fun Run starts and finishes at Clane GAA in County Kildare, running alongside the longer 10K Road Race on the same Saturday morning. Open to walkers and runners of all abilities as a genuine family event, the course covers a shorter loop of the roads around Clane rather than the fuller circuit used by the 10K. The surface is entirely tarmac public road, with parking, changing and showering facilities available at the club for all participants. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three men and women, along with special 40-50, 50-60 and 60+ age category prizes. Every participant receives a medal, with a technical t-shirt for the first 250 registered adults. Held in late November, the community-run event finishes with post-race refreshments back at the clubhouse, making it a genuinely accessible option for the whole family.
