About this race
The Run Run Rudolph 5K is a Christmas fundraiser run by Kilcullen GAA in aid of the club's Field of Dreams development, starting and finishing at Kilcullen GAA Clubhouse in Co. Kildare. The out-and-back route heads out from the clubhouse towards the edge of the Curragh plains before looping back through Kilcullen town to the finish. The course is run entirely on tarmac roads, is generally flat to gently rolling, and is the only distance on the day open to walkers as well as runners. Runners set off to the sound of Chuck Berry's 'Run Rudolph Run', with Christmas bells attached to race numbers adding to the festive atmosphere. The event has grown steadily in popularity, with hundreds of entrants each December, and finishes with Christmas treats and a prize-giving back at the clubhouse.
