About this race
The Kilbeggan St. Stephen's Day 6km Fun Run is an annual run and walk held in Kilbeggan, County Westmeath, with the start at The Square in the centre of the town. The route map shows a single loop around the town and its surrounding roads, passing close to the River Brosna on the northern side before returning towards the centre. The course is mostly paved, with a small amount of unspecified surface. The profile is gently undulating, with a short rise at around the two-kilometre mark followed by a descent and a gently rolling final few kilometres. The event is open to runners, joggers and walkers, and has grown in popularity each year, attracting hundreds of finishers. Proceeds support Children's Health Ireland and its hospitals in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly.
