Life Style Sports Dundalk Half Marathon

The Life Style Sports Dundalk Half Marathon starts on Francis Street in the centre of Dundalk, County Louth, and finishes on Earl Street. The course is closed to traffic, with marshals and a lead bike, and runs on roads throughout. Runners first wind through the streets of the town before heading out onto open, rolling terrain around Dundalk, with the Cooley Mountains as a backdrop. The half marathon is two laps of the same course that the 10K covers once, so runners see the same scenery and the same mix of town streets and countryside roads on each circuit. The profile is best described as gently rolling rather than flat. Water stations are located at roughly 5km, 11km and 16km, with toilets at around 5km and 16km. The race starts in waves, and timing begins when each runner crosses the start mat.
