About this race
The Run Run Rudolph 10K is a Christmas fundraiser run by Kilcullen GAA in aid of the club's Field of Dreams development, starting and finishing at Kilcullen GAA Clubhouse in Co. Kildare. The single-lap route heads out from the clubhouse and touches the open Curragh plains before looping back through Kilcullen town to the finish, run entirely on tarmac roads with a generally flat to gently rolling profile. Unlike the shorter distance, the 10K is a running-only event rather than a walk. Competitors set off to the sound of Chuck Berry's 'Run Rudolph Run', with Christmas bells attached to race numbers for a festive touch. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, and the event finishes with Christmas treats and a prize-giving back at the clubhouse, with hundreds of runners taking part each December.
