About this race
The Waterford AC Half Marathon starts and finishes at the SETU Arena on the West Campus in Carriganore, County Waterford, just off the N25 outer ring road. The course is chip timed with mile markers throughout, and pacers are typically provided for a range of finish times including 1:30, 1:40 and 1:50. As the club's main annual fundraiser, the event attracts around 2,500 runners and joggers each year, with proceeds supporting the development of Waterford AC's juvenile section and the promotion of athletics across the city. The race often incorporates the National Half Marathon Championship, drawing a strong field of club athletes from across Ireland alongside local and recreational runners.
