About this race
The John Treacy Dungarvan 10 Mile starts on the Youghal Road in Dungarvan and takes in a short loop around Mitchell Street and down Collins Road before heading out along the Youghal road. The route passes the Haleon roundabout and continues along the N25, running by the site of the old crystal/glass factory before reaching Bushy Park. From there the course follows the Canal Road out to Ring Cross, before turning back along the Youghal road towards Dungarvan and finishing in the town's industrial estate. Run entirely on tarmac roads, the course is widely regarded as fast and largely flat, with organisers noting just a few small pulls along the way. One of the largest 10 mile road races in Ireland, it draws a large field each year including an elite-level front pack, with the town's streets lined with supporters cheering runners through on race morning.
