About this race
The Rita & Robbie Christmas 5K is a festive road race hosted by Navan AC in Navan, County Meath, with race headquarters at Claremont Stadium. The course starts on the Commons Road a little north of the stadium and heads north towards the Athboy Road junction. Runners then turn south-west and follow a road running parallel to Athboy Road, climbing gradually out of town. At the far end the route swings south-east and loops back on the roads south of Athboy Road before turning north-east towards the Balreask area. The middle section includes an incline, followed by a downhill of just over one kilometre that carries runners towards the stadium, and the race finishes on the blue tartan track inside Claremont Stadium. Open to runners, joggers, walkers and families, it attracts around 450 finishers in 2025.
