About this race
The Wexford Half Marathon follows a single-loop paved course that begins along the picturesque Wexford Quays and finishes at the historic Faythe in the heart of the town. The route travels through the town center before heading out into the peaceful, sheltered countryside, offering a diverse mix of urban, rural, and coastal views. Participants navigate a well-marshaled circuit on smooth tarmac roads before returning for a triumphant finish amid a vibrant local atmosphere.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
