About this race

The RunCork Half Marathon starts and finishes at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Cork's Marina beside the River Lee. The course is run as two loops on tarmac roads and the Marina Greenway. Each loop heads east along the Marina and the river, passing Blackrock village and Blackrock Castle, then follows the shoreline around the Mahon peninsula towards Jacob's Island before returning on a straight path through Ballintemple and Mahon to the Marina. The route is almost entirely flat with only a few short rises, and the organisers describe it as flat and fast. Water stations are located at about 5, 10, 15 and 20 km. The route remains indicative until final approval from Cork City Council and An Garda Síochána, and the event is organised by JustRace Events and 21k Events.
