Cloyne Commons Challenge: Race 2 4k

The Cloyne Commons Challenge 4K is a flat, fast road race on the country roads around Cloyne in East Cork. The start line is set down a narrow country road east of the village, and the course is essentially a single loop with a slight overlap near the finish. From the start the runners head west towards Cloyne, turn south along a long straight road on the western side of the loop, then swing south-east and north-east around the bottom of the course before heading north along a long straight road on the eastern side. A turn west along the northern side brings runners back past the start and on to the finish on the edge of the village. The course is mostly paved, with no significant climbs.
