About this race

The Annaghmore Running Festival Half Marathon is one of five distances offered at the annual multi-race event based at Annaghmore Community Hall in County Armagh, on Saturday 26 September 2026 at 10am. The course runs on roads in and around the village of Annaghmore and the surrounding mid-Armagh countryside. The terrain is largely flat to gently undulating, consistent with the rural agricultural landscape of the area. Like the 18-mile distance offered on the same day, the half marathon is popular as a training race for the Dublin Marathon, which follows within a few weeks. The event is chip timed and Athletics NI permitted. Annaghmore Community Hall serves as race HQ, with registration and facilities for all distances on the day.

Course profile & record eligibility

World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.

Loop Course type
