About this race
The Very Pink Run Dublin 10k is the longer challenge option at Breast Cancer Ireland's flagship fundraising event, based at Leopardstown Racecourse in south County Dublin. The 10k course makes use of the racecourse grounds and surrounding paths in an accessible, largely flat setting, open to participants who wish to run, jog, walk or wheel the distance in support of the charity's research and awareness efforts. Like the accompanying 5k, the event is not chip timed and is built around fun and participation rather than competition, drawing a pink tribe of men, women and children. The wider event includes a lively showcase with music, face painters and family entertainment, and the entry fee covers a t-shirt, race bib and finishing medal. With several thousand taking part each year and proceeds supporting Breast Cancer Ireland, the 10k provides a meaningful and enjoyable morning out in a spacious, welcoming venue.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
