About this race
The Termonfeckin Half Marathon starts and finishes at St. Fechin's GAA grounds in County Louth. The course is a 13.1-mile circuit on paved roads with flat and undulating sections travels along the banks of the River Boyne. While largely level, the route includes minor drags between miles 6 and 8, followed by two downhill sections and a brief 400-meter climb just before the finish.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
