Mountmellick 5km Road Race

The Mountmellick 5km Road Race starts and finishes at Conor Davis Park in Mountmellick, County Laois. Hosted jointly by Mountmellick United and Mountmellick Road Runners, the race takes runners out onto the roads surrounding the town before returning to the park for the finish. It's designed as a genuinely family-friendly event, welcoming runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities alongside more competitive club athletes. On-the-day registration is available from Conor Davis Park from 8:30am, as well as online in advance, making entry straightforward for last-minute participants. Age category prizes are awarded across a range of brackets, recognising local achievement as well as overall placings. As a community-organised event run by two well-established local clubs, it has become a popular fixture on the Laois running calendar, combining a genuine road race with a relaxed, welcoming small-town atmosphere.
