About this race
The Na Piarsaigh GAA 5km is a chip-timed road race starting and finishing at Páirc Uí Dromgúil, the club's grounds on Elm Drive in Caherdavin, on the north side of Limerick City. Organisers describe the newly designed course as flat, running on public roads through the surrounding Caherdavin area rather than any off-road terrain. As a fundraiser for one of Limerick's most progressive GAA clubs, the event welcomes competitive runners chasing a fast time alongside those taking part in an accompanying fun run or walk, making it accessible to the whole community. It's proudly sponsored by M&C Property, with proceeds going directly towards the ongoing development of Na Piarsaigh's hurling and football teams. Held on a Sunday morning in September, the race draws strong local support, with club members, families and colleagues encouraged to take part alongside more serious club runners.
