About this race
The Dooneen 10-mile road race begins and ends at the impressive Limerick Racecourse in Greenmount Park, Patrickswell. This scenic 10-mile loop guides participants through the heart of the local countryside, heading toward Raheen and passing through the charming landscapes of Lemonfield and Crecora. The route offers a picturesque journey along rural roads with beautiful views of the lush surroundings before returning to the racecourse. Known for being fast, the course is run entirely on smooth tarmac surfaces.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
