About this race

The Cork and Waterford Injured Jockeys' Road Race is a 5k event organised by St Catherine's Athletic Club and run on the club's established 5k route in Conna, east Cork. The race raises vital funds for the Cork and Waterford Point to Point Injured Jockeys Fund, supporting jockeys who have been injured in the sport. St Catherine's AC, based in Conna, has a strong tradition of hosting well-organised local road races in this rural east Cork setting. The course follows public roads in and around the Conna area on a measured, chip-timed route. The event welcomes runners of all abilities and is part of the wider local athletics community in east Cork. Full course details are available through the club and event organisers.

Course profile & record eligibility

World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.

Loop Course type
0m limit 5.0m Start/finish drop
0.20km limit 2.5km Start/finish separation
