About this race
The Wilkinstown 5k is a chip-timed road race and walk held at Wilkinstown Community Centre in County Meath. The event is organised in aid of Nobber Cancer Support Group and Wilkinstown Community Centre, and takes place on the roads surrounding the village. The race is open to runners and walkers of all abilities, with chip timing provided for runners and post-race refreshments at the Community Centre. Proceeds support the Nobber Cancer Support Group, which provides transport assistance to community members attending cancer treatment, and the upkeep of the local community centre.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
