About this race
The Termonfeckin 4mile is a fast, single-loop road race that starts and finishes at St. Fechin’s GAA grounds in County Louth. The course follows a predominantly flat and paved route through the local townlands, offering a straightforward run through the North Louth countryside. While the terrain is largely level and suited for a quick pace, participants face a brief but testing 400-meter climb in the final stretch leading back to the finish line.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
