About this race
The Naas Town 5k is a family fun run organised by Brendan's Running Club in aid of The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation, taking place on Sunday 27 September 2026 at 2pm in Naas, County Kildare. The course starts and finishes at the Civic Offices in Naas town centre, following a flat and accessible route through the streets of the county town of Kildare. Open to runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities, including children, the event offers a family package option. All finishers receive the distinctive Naas Ball commemorative medal. The race runs alongside the Naas Town 10k as part of the same event day. Proceeds support The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation and the event has raised over €47,700 for the charity to date.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
