About this race
The Littleton Labyrinth 10 Mile begins and ends at the iconic Horse and Jockey Hotel, serving as a central hub for this scenic loop. The route leads participants north toward Littleton village before transitioning onto the newly opened Littleton Labyrinth trail, which follows a former Bord na Móna railway line. Runners traverse a unique landscape of restored peatlands and the tranquil Littleton Bog, passing near the peaceful waters of Lough Doire Bhile. The course is celebrated for being exceptionally flat and fast, featuring a consistent mix of smooth tarmac roads and well-maintained gravel paths. This professional event provides a perfect opportunity for a personal best while showcasing the rich industrial and environmental heritage of Mid-Tipperary.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
