About this race
The Kilmallock 4mile follows a single-loop paved course that starts and finishes near the Deebert House Hotel. The route travels through the historic town center, passing the courthouse and the medieval King’s Gate before heading onto quiet, level country roads. After a loop through the surrounding rural landscape, participants return to the town by running through the iconic Blossom Gate. The terrain is predominantly flat with only minor gradients, providing a consistent surface throughout the four-mile distance.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
