About this race
The Dublin BHAA BMC Global 5k Trail Race is held in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, on an evening in June. The course follows the trails and tarmac roads within the Phoenix Park, one of Europe's largest enclosed urban parks. Introduced to the Dublin BHAA calendar in 2024, it was awarded Race of the Year at the BHAA 2025 AGM. Organised by BMC Global, registration and post-race refreshments take place at the designated race HQ within the park. Entry is on the evening.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind.
