About this race
The Cork City Half Marathon follows a single-loop paved course starting on Monahan Road and finishing on Grand Parade. The route joins the full marathon course at the two-mile mark, running through Blackrock and along the Marina before heading inland through the southern suburbs past The Lough and University College Cork. From there it follows Model Farm Road before turning onto Mardyke Walk, Western Road and Washington Street for a city centre finish on Grand Parade.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
