About this race
The Annaghmore Running Festival 5k is one of five distances offered at the annual multi-race event based at Annaghmore Community Hall in County Armagh, taking place on Saturday 26 September 2026 at 10am. The course runs on roads in and around the village of Annaghmore and the surrounding mid-Armagh countryside. The terrain is flat to gently undulating, typical of the agricultural landscape in this part of mid-Armagh. The event is chip timed and Athletics NI permitted. The 5k welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities, making it accessible alongside the more demanding distances on the programme. Annaghmore Community Hall serves as race HQ and the event is a well-established fixture in the Ulster autumn running calendar.
Course profile & record eligibility
World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
