About this race

The Run the Spinc 30k starts and finishes at the Laragh GAA grounds, beside Laragh village in the Wicklow Mountains, and is the longest race in the Run the Ridge series. Introduced in 2025, the course showcases the famous Spinc boardwalk and ridge above Glendalough, offering higher elevation and even more expansive views than its sister events. It shares the opening two kilometres and the closing three kilometres with the 20k route, while also taking in highlights from that course over mixed rocky trail, fire-road and open mountain. The terrain is varied and demanding, combining forest trail, exposed high ground and the iconic boardwalk section within Wicklow Mountains National Park. As a strictly not-for-profit event organised by Laragh GAA and Glendalough AC, it finishes with a fast descent and an 800m lap of honour at the GAA grounds before prize-giving.
