About this race
The Crossgar 10k is a road race based in the village of Crossgar in County Down, Northern Ireland, set in the rolling countryside of the Strangford and Lecale area between Belfast and Downpatrick. The course is run on open public roads leading out from the village and through the surrounding rural landscape of quiet country lanes, farmland, and gently rolling terrain before returning toward the start. Run on tarmac surfaces throughout, the route is generally regarded as undulating, offering a mix of flatter stretches and modest rises typical of the south Down countryside. Crossgar sits on the A7 route and serves as a hub for the local community, giving the event a friendly, well-supported character.
