About this race

The Frank Duffy 10 Mile follows a single-loop route that takes place almost entirely within the scenic and expansive Phoenix Park in Dublin. As a key event in the Dublin Race Series, the course travels along wide, tarmac avenues and through wooded areas, passing landmarks such as the Papal Cross and Chesterfield Avenue. The terrain is described as challenging but fair, featuring several steady honest drags and rolling hills that test endurance without being overly brutal. Participants enjoy a traffic-free environment and strong crowd support, especially near the finish area close to the Phoenix Monument.

Course profile & record eligibility

World Athletics record-eligibility rules cap net elevation loss at 1m per km of race distance, and require the start and finish to be no more than 50% of the race distance apart — both meant to stop a course gaining an unfair edge from downhill grade or a point-to-point tailwind. This is based on this course's recorded elevation and GPS data, not an official measurement or certification.
